Workshop with Himalaya-Shamans 2015 |
Shamans, ancestral spirits and self-healing
6. - 7. Juni 2015
Intensive weekend-workshop and healing rituals
with Himalaya Shamans Mohan Rai and Dawa Sherpa
With this intensive weekend-workshop the participants will immerge very deep into the magic world of the untouched and still authentic tradition of the Himalaya Shamans. For thousands of years shamans (nepali: Jhakri) on the mountain of the Himalayas practice their unbroken healing tradition in order to bring people in perfect harmony with nature and their own lifes. From their point of view deseases are an imbalance of man and nature and the ability to accept one's destiny. Every human being is exposed to certain influences by his/ her ancestors. This might have an adversely or positively impact to our lifes. Techniques, Mantras and rituals will be shown to demonstrate in which way we are able to contact our ancestors in order to clean our own life from disturbing influences and how we can profit from the knowledge of our ancestors. We will outline how extremely complex the shamanic worldview is and how it reflects a mythical immage of the nature of the Sherpa, Tamang and Kirati culture in the Himalayas. We will see how these visible and invisible processes of nature impact people's life all over the world. It is very interesting how similar, nearly identical the myths of the Himalayas are to our own european cultural roots and what we can learn from them. We are going to learn about the three main forms that turn a human being into a shaman. And we learn shamanic techniques about how to get access to the shaman powers (shakti). Shamanic diagnostics for identification of deseases will be shown, trance techniques for strengthening body, soul and mind will be trained and rituals to enable a longterm harmonic and balanced life will be celebrated. Dawa Sherpa will demonstrate his mastery in a very impressive manner. With rituals, trance techniques, invocation songs for the shakti energy or the ancestral spirits, healing ceremonies, and ecstatic drum sessions he invites the participants to follow the impulses, visions and energies of the otherworld. Mohan Rai will explain the magic worldview of the Himalaya Shamans comprehensively. He will show that western people as well are able to revive the long lost traditional shamanic knowledge to blaze their own trail, find their own life's purpose and live it.
