A magic journey into the heart of the Himalayan Shamanism Study tours and adventure holidays Three-week shamanistic educational journey with the Shamans of the Himalayas
(deutsch)
In the year 2020 we travel, like every year, with an MOTHER EARTH PROJECT education group to the shamans into the Himalayas again. Our journey starts in Kathmandu and then continues in the form of a pilgrimage to the sacred places. The individual stations we complete are supported by the shamans accompanying us with individual healing rituals as well as theoretical and practical lessons. The focus is on conveying the unbroken millennia-old healing knowledge of the shamans of Nepal. The ability of the shamans to lead and accompany their students into other consciousness conditions, to take them to the possession trance with support of their auxiliary spirit and to grant the necessary spiritual protection plays a large role in this. The lesson conveys the cosmology, diagnosis forms, healing rituals and trance techniques of the shamans. The imparted contents, techniques, mantras and rituals give a deep insight into the magical world of the shamans and offer a practical basis for the therapeutic work of one's own. Every participant of the journey gets an extensive shamanistic diagnosis by the shamans. Usually this diagnosis is followed by very effortful and very intense healing rituals which are carried out in a selfless sacrifice by the shamans.
We will get to know very different energetic places. We will visit the sacred Stupa of Swayambunath and Bodhnat and gaze in admiration at enchanting arts and crafts in the more than two thousand years old lanes of Patan, the oldest king town of Nepal. In Pashupatinath, one of the most important shrines of Hinduism, where Shiva is venerated as pashu pati, the master of the animals, we will immerse into a magic atmosphere which is filled of exotic and mysterious impressions. Likewise in Dakshin Kali one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites in the Kathmandu valley where we will experience hundreds of pilgrims appeasing the goddess Kali with blood sacrifices. There also will be plenty of time to explore Kathmandu on one's own account since the entire town is one single museum and small temples and monasteries can be found everywhere, the coloured lanes of Thamel invite to shopping. In another section of this journey, we will go to the mountains of the Himalayas where we can practical experience the acquired knowledge in the genuine environment of the shamans. In the secluded mountain villages in approximately 2000 m height where the shamans live and work we experience further intensive healing and trance rituals in the midst of untouched nature. Together with the shamans we will celebrate magic rituals in caves, at waterfalls, sacred places and on cemeteries and receive a practical insight into the other reality of the shamans. Who in person meets the spirit helpers of the shamans during the rituals can learn about the incomprehensible and indescribable of this other world and will be able to bring real shamanic knowledge in his/ her heart as a present of this journey.
On the complete journey there is exquisite full catering (on request also vegetarian/ vegan). Accommodation in Kathmandu is in double rooms. In the mountains we will stay in simple lodges, with the shaman's families and in caves. Everything is always organized very well, the participants need to care about nothing and can completely concentrate on the education. The amount of travel expenses depends on registration deadlines. The total cost of the trip, excluding flight, amount to € 2,650.00 for payment until 31.12.2020, thereafter € 2,850.00. The costs are calculated in such a way that each participant is paid directly, so that the families can receive direct support and calculate with the amounts for their livelihood. All persons involved (translators, guides, shamans, cooking team, porters, drivers, hosts of hotels & lodges and all the helpers on site) are prepared for the planned travel period and are fully available for our entire program. The concept is designed for sustainability. For me, this means that the families involved are paid directly and can thus build their own livelihood, enabling them to preserve their cultural identity and valuable and unique shamanic knowledge across generations.
With this special journey and because of his longstanding partnership with Himalayan shamans, Marius E. Hannig makes it possible to get in contact to shamans in their natural surrounding and with their traditional rituals. To participate, collaborate and to benefit from this is a huge privilege for interested people coming from western cultures. It is also possible to book an individual trip at other times.
